🐾 Meet Sophia!

Age: Approximately 4 years old

Breed: Mixed

Rescue Status: In rescue since April 2022

Health: Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative

Weight: Around 40 lbs

This sweet girl has overcome a difficult past, coming from an extremely abusive home. Despite her hardships, she has a gentle spirit and thrives in the company of other animals.

She loves playing with other dogs at daycare and is comfortable in large groups, often interacting with 10 or more dogs at a time. She has experience with dogs of all sizes, from Beagles to Great Danes, and gets along well with males, females, puppies, and seniors. She also does well with cats!

She is very nervous around people, but not aggressive—just shy and skittish. She feels most at ease when surrounded by other dogs, who help her feel safe and reassured. A home with another confident dog would be ideal to help her continue building trust.

She rides well in the car. She remains calm but very still at the vet—she doesn’t react aggressively but prefers to freeze in place. She tolerates baths and nail trims well.

Sophia is looking for a loving, patient home that will give her the time and support she needs to truly blossom.
