For over a decade, Kentucky S.A.V.E. has been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need.
This new chapter of Kentucky S.A.V.E. began with a simple helping hand. When former president Ellen Banks needed a place to support future rescues, we opened our doors without hesitation. And when Ellen was ready to embark on a new journey, we were ready once again—ushering in a new era for Kentucky S.A.V.E.
Our team may be small, but our hearts are big. We are deeply committed to our community and determined to help as many animals as possible.

Ashley Renton
President
Ashley is deeply committed to rescuing animals of all kinds. Every aspect of her life, from her personal and professional time to her free moments, is dedicated to the well-being of animals in need. Her unwavering goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment that feels like home for each animal until they find their forever family. Nothing brings Ashley more joy than seeing a happy ending.
Heather Larrison
Board Lead & Rescue Coordinator
With 15 years of experience in animal rescue, Heather is dedicated to finding the perfect home for every animal that comes through our doors. Heather is especially moved by the difficult cases and loves investing the extra time and care they need to thrive. Her keen understanding of each animal’s unique personality and needs ensures they receive the best possible chance at a loving, permanent home.
Rebekah Christian
Board Member
With 7 years of experience in animal rescue, Rebekah has a deep passion for helping animals find their perfect homes. She has a special place in her heart for every rescue and is committed to matching them with loving families. Currently pursuing professional training certification, she finds the greatest joy in watching rescued animals heal, grow, and thrive in their new lives.

She understands the dedication required to provide proper care and works tirelessly to raise funds for veterinary expenses and daily needs.
