Health: Neuter scheduled, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm-negative

Ruger was surrendered to the rescue by his family in early 2026 because he was too active. However, despite his young age, this sweet boy has excellent manners and learns quickly!

Ruger is friendly with everyone he meets and adapts easily to new environments.

He has lived in a home with children and other dogs, but he hasn't been tested with cats yet.

Ruger knows how to sit and a few other basic commands, and he's eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved! He loves pleasing people, enjoys making connections, and will adjust well to a new home since he has previously lived in one.

Ruger would do well with a family that will continue to work on his basic commands and ensure he gets the regular exercise a dog his age needs!
