Health: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm-negative, microchipped

Weight: Around 35 pounds

Pete’s journey began as a miracle—rescued from a ditch as a puppy, fighting for his life against Parvo. After weeks of intensive care and quarantine, he emerged as a resilient, joyful survivor ready to share his zest for life!

Pete loves to play and thrives with dogs his size or larger, though his boundless enthusiasm means he sometimes needs reminders to pause and play gently. He does best with calm, boundary-setting pups (groups of 2-3). Pete also lived temporarily with 3 cats! With guidance, he learned to curb his excitement—ideal for a home willing to continue supervised introductions.

Pete adores everyone—he snuggles in laps, loves playing fetch or tug, and greets the world with tail wags. He is a certified ball fanatic! He rides calmly in cars, does well at the vet, and tolerates baths and nail trims like a pro. He completed basic training with flying colors, and is ready to learn more!

Pete is looking for an active, patient family who can channel his energy into adventures and training.
