Dax came into rescue after being surrendered due to neighborhood complaints, through no fault of his own. He spent his entire life living on a chain, but despite that difficult beginning, Dax’s heart is full of love and hope. Now free and safe, he’s learning what it means to be a cherished companion.

Dax is a big love bug who adores everyone he meets and has done well with children. While he has not yet been formally tested with other dogs, he is very eager and excited to meet them, showing a friendly curiosity rather than fear or reactivity.

Dax has not been cat tested.

Dax rides well in the car and handles baths and nail trims nicely. He loves playing with his toys and is highly treat motivated, making him a great candidate for training and enrichment as he continues to adjust to life off the chain.

Dax would thrive in a home ready to give him the love, structure, and freedom he’s never truly had. With positive guidance, patience, and plenty of affection, Dax is sure to blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
