🐾 Meet Nero!

Age: Approximately 3 years old

Breed: Collie Mix

Rescue Status: In rescue since December 2022

Health: Neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative

Weight: Around 45 lbs

Nero was found roaming as a stray puppy, likely abandoned. When he first arrived, he was very scared and timid, but he has come a long way since then! Nero loves playing with other dogs at daycare and does well in groups of 4 or more. He typically prefers dogs similar in size, but has interacted with dogs ranging from Beagles to Great Danes.

He can be selective about sharing toys. He loves his pacifier toy and ice cream cone toy—these are his prized possessions, and he gets very excited to play fetch with them (but doesn’t like to share them!).

He has done well living with cats, another dog, and kids in a temporary home. Nero is nervous around strangers, but he is not aggressive—he may bark at first, but just needs time to warm up. Once he trusts you, he is snuggly, bouncy, and playful. He rides well in the car and does well at the vet—shy and uncomfortable, but never aggressive. He tolerates baths and nail trims without issues. He LOVES pool time!
