Age: Approximately 2 years old

Breed: Lab Mix

Rescue Status: In rescue since May 2023

Health: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm-negative

Weight: Around 55 pounds

Doc was abandoned on a farm with his mother and six littermates while still nursing. Despite this rocky start, he’s grown into a gentle, adaptable pup with a heart full of love!

Doc plays daily with dogs of all sizes, though he gravitates toward pups his size or larger. He thrives in small, active groups of 3, but adapts well to calm, larger crowds. He passed initial introductions with cats, but would do best with a patient cat or slow, supervised bonding.

Doc is initially reserved in new environments or with strangers, but warms up quickly. He handles public events with quiet confidence once he settles in. He rides calmly in cars, does well at the vet, and tolerates baths and nail trims like a champ. He is highly food-motivated—perfect for training and building trust!

Doc is looking for a patient, loving family ready to give him time to blossom. He’d thrive with playful dog friends or as a solo pet with ongoing socialization. His gentle nature makes him a great fit for homes with kids or calm households.
