Age: Approximately 3 years old Breed: Border Collie Rescue Status: In rescue since September 2024 Health: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm-negative, and microchipped Weight: Around 70 pounds Dexter’s journey began when he was abandoned on a farm with his companion Deedee. After weeks of evading capture, this resilient duo was safely rescued—now Dexter is ready to channel his intelligence and loyalty into a loving forever home!

Dexter thrives in lively daycare groups of 10+ dogs (his size or larger). He has shared treats, toys, and space nicely with his buddy Deedee. He has not been tested with cats and would need patient, supervised bonding in a new home. He excels in public outings and charms everyone he meets with his calm, friendly nature.

He is a snuggle enthusiast who adores affection and melts into cuddles. He handles car rides, vet visits, baths, and nail trims with mild anxiety but overall composure. He is highly treat-motivated and very intelligent.

Dexter is looking for a patient, active family ready to nurture his potential. Owners familiar with herding breeds would be a bonus—consistency and mental stimulation are key for this active boy.
